how well can a patch work if no jell is on it? were dose the medicine come from?
When did they stop useing jell filled patches to dry patch?
Added 27 Nov 2014:
when I put my patch on it looks like a used one, i was on patches around five years ago they were filled with jell, now they look like they did when i would remove one after 72 hr. I don't see how they can work
The medication is either in the plastic matrix (Norspan) or in the adhesive or below or in the adhesive layer as in Fentanyl. They stopped using the gel patches years ago due to misuse and the lethal nature of misusing Fentanyl. As this only has to contain around 10mg (less than 10 grains of sugar) it is easy to create a safer delivery system.
PS. They work just fine but don't peel it off early. Once it has peeled off it will not adhere again.
