I have been on them 10 years and I am up every hour. I would like to quit taking them so that I may sleep naturally but I am high strung and it is hard for me to relax. What should I do?
Consult the physician who got you on it in the first place, after 10 years you will be looking at a gradual reduction over a minimum of 6-8 months, if not longer. But this must be directed and supervised by a physician to ensure minimal withdrawal, the possibility of a condition worse than the original, or relapse.
