4 years ago I was prescribed zolpidem after a surgery to help me sleep. Later on, I don't remember how exactly I started taking it to prevent my anxiety at night which wouldn't let me sleep and now I am dependant on it. I experiment most of the withdrawal symptons in every attempt to quit and cannot sleep. I am not asking for a magical formula to quit, I know my problem is mostly psychological but has anybody experienced something similar? have you been able to quit?
Yes, I have been using Zolpidem on and off for several years, sometimes nightly even in month long periods. I am able to stop taking it without any issues When stopping after a longer period of usage, I feel different for about 1-3 days but the withdrawals are not sever at all.
After a while( 2 to 4 weeks of abstinance) your sleep may even improve.
The main thing is for you to exercise and eat healthy, your body will handle the rest..
