No, never. If you're not making enough thyroid hormone you need it.

That is one med you'll take for life. Unless you're unusual, or misdiagnosed, once your thyroid stops working properly, it won't start working again. Why do you want to stop taking it?

Not if you are hypothyroid! You need to balance your thyroid hormone. Talk to your endocrinologist it is important you understand what is happening to your thyroid because you need to keep an eye on your symptoms always.
