I am 14 and I take Ambien just to well... Get high. I am going to get a wisdom tooth out this week and I would like to know if I should stop taking it before I get it done. 'Cause I really don't know if the dentist will sleep me or numb me. I had went to the dentist when younger about 6 or 5 but I never knew what they did to me. Please reply! :)

Please get off the stuff. You shouldn't need to get high at your age for sure. You are missing out on things by trying to numb your feelings. Do not take any before the dentist sees you. If you take some and he gives you anesthesia to sleep, it could interact with it and really cause a major problem. But please, stop trying to get high. You are hurting yourself. and you are much to young to start harming your body.
First off, Don't take any Ambien before getting your wisdom tooth removed because if they do put you to sleep it can be dangerous especially if you have not told the Dentist about taking Ambien to get high.
The second thing that I want to tell you is , I am not going to judge you ok, I am the last person to judge anyone because I am a recovering addict. I started out taking pills to get high too, I wasn't as young as you, but it doesn't matter what age you are when you start, it is still no way to live! I went from pills to heroin and cocaine and it happened really fast and please don't say that you would never do that because I said the same thing when I was young and by the time that I was 31 I was a stone cold junkie!! I am only telling you this because I don't want to see you go down that road!! You are only 14... You have a wonderful life ahead of you that you are going to miss if you continue to get high!
Please, go to your parents for help. If you can't go to your parents then go to a trusted adult relative or friend or even one of your teachers or your doctor, it doesn't matter how you get the help as long as you get the help. I finally got help and I have almost 12 years clean now and I have never been happier!! You can go online and fine 12-step programs like NA for teens, and your school guidance counselor may beable to help you too.
I hope that you get the help that you need. And good luck with your wisdom tooth extraction.
