Been using qvar for copd but it's making my throat very sore and dry. I rinse and gargle after each use
Besides Qvar, I also use Spiriva and Foradil inhalers and ProAir rescue inhaler. I do rinse and gargle after using Qvar. Still get dry nose and sore throat at night. ENT advised I use the humidifier on the concentrator but that does not help much. Spray my nose with Ocean, use nasal gel both at night and during the day. Also Ponaris spray for nose was suggested. For throat I use cough drops and sip some cough syrup. Actually, nothing seems to help permanently. Had nose catherized because of nose bleeds but now its still a little bloody when I blow it. ENT Said not to use flonase, singular or claritin as they're too drying. It's an ongoing problem for us with COPD and no specific solution. So you are not the only one.
