What can I do to improve this daily and avoid high levels
Blood sugar is often slightly elevated in the morning. At 115-120, its not something to be worried about it. Most docs would put that at a high normal/ pre-diabetic range with a target of 150 for an average.
To avoid really high spikes- eat smaller meals spaced apart and go for a walk after you eat if you can. Ten minutes will do wonders on preventing spikes. Do what's comfortable.
