My wife and I are semi retired, and we like going out for a meal, and a few drinks. We well off and enjoy meeting people, we have been drinking for over 30 yrs.. In the last 5/6 years we got more sensible in our drinking habits, we dont want to stop drinking, but we do want to drink less, will campral help ?
May I ask how much you drink. If you drink red wine in moderation, it can lower blood pressure, and contains resveratol (antioxidant that fights against free radical damage). Not promoting alcohol, however, 1 alcoholic beverage a day for women and two for men is considered moderation unless contraindicated with any medications you are on or specific disease states.
Quite frankly, if you cannot control the amounts you are drinking, this is a sign of being an alcoholic. For alcoholics, there are those who drink, (usually to excess) or those who dont drink at all. For most alcoholics, there is no in between because of the loss of control issue is a part of alcoholism. I suggest you talk to your Dr.
