I started having stomach pains 4 days after sex and still hurting. I had sex Friday night and didn't start hurting until Tuesday morning when I woke up. I am on birth control and also took the plan b pill. But I weigh around 190, I've read that the pill is less effective in heavier women. It hurts to move or lift heavy things at work. Could it just be a bruised cervix or what? I didn't start feeling the pain until like I said 3 to 4 days after.
I'm unsure why you used Plan B if you were already on birth control? I assume you must have messed up your regular birth control...
It is normal to get all sorts of hormonal symptoms for a couple of weeks after using Plan B. It is a huge dose of hormone for your body to handle/process, & should only be used in total emergency.
It depends where you are in your cycle as to what symptoms you experience after taking Plan B. Sometimes you'll bleed, sometimes you won't. It is common that your next period will come up to a week or two late, & that before that, you might get irregular bleeding, which may even be heavy, or could be just a brown discharge or spotting.
You may feel very hormonal for a couple of weeks after using Plan B. It's a massive dose of hormone for your body to take, & therefore it should be used as little as possible. You may experience side effects such as sore breasts, bleeding, back ache, cramping, bloating, mood swings, depression etc.
If the pain persists more than a week or two, or worsens, or if you experience any symptoms that you wouldn't normally associate with a very heavy, painful period, then you should see your doctor. There is always a small chance of an eptopic pregnancy, so you may want to take a pregnancy test. As you are on birth control and took Plan B, it is highly unlikely that you will be pregnant, & much more likely that you have overloaded your body with hormones, & it is struggling to adjust itself.
