right above my pelvis is painfully uncomfortably and recently I have had quick stabbing pelvic pain. I feel constant pressure right above my pelvis and am having some related or unrelated low back pain and a few bouts of nausea again related or not related I don't know and I had a bad episode of dizziness the other day whether or not its related I am not sure. All I know is that its become so uncomfortable all I want to is go into a fetal position to relieve the discomfort. I had to cancel my ultrasound today but was able to reschdule it for tomorrow evening so we will see. Does anyone have any guesses?? Or experience similiar problems in the past??
Lately you seem to be chasing pain; have you considered, regardless of the difficulty, just getting up & exercising? I realize there is certainly pain; however, always chasing it is a sign of depression, and if not already, you become depressed chasing it. Just a thought, thinking of you,
I am ever so sorry that the pain is so bad, I doubt that you even feel up to going for an Ultrasound but whatever you do tomorrow evening try your best to keep that appointment, No matter how good at guessing it may be at best to me it seems like that's just what it is a guess, probably your best chance at getting to the bottom of this is hqaving tests to rule out possibilities, without the right answers even prescribing medication could possibly diminish your symptoms and it may be something that the pain may give them clues in order to help have an idea what the problem is. I send you might prayers and best wishes I haven't been much help I'm afraid but I hope they soon are able to diagnose the problem and come up with a treatment that gives you the ability to function without serious pain. take care,
Hang in there until you have that ultrasound, & don't cancel if you don't feel good. We are not doctors, & it sounds with all your symptoms that you need a good going over by a physician, & not us just guessing what could be wrong. There are too many things it could be. Try not being so scared & get to that ultrasound one way or the other...
I agree with the others,go and get the ultrasound, its the only way of knowing definitely what is wrong,I understand when in pain you are not up to going anywhere but you will need to get this seeing to as the sooner you go,the quicker you will get treatment for whatever it is,no matter what it is,its better to get checked, otherwise you'll be guessing is it this or that and still not knowing.
Let us know how you get on
It's possible that you have a UTI. (urinary tract infection) I certainly have experienced the symptoms you are having whn I get them. I never have the more commmon symptoms like burning with urination. It's always been pelvic/abdominal pain headache etc... Maybe a doc app. is in order. Good Luck
Hi, I agree with everyone-especially the exercise advice. I can feel pretty much like that every day that til I take the hounds out for a walk. Without them, I'd be in a fetal position. It gets my blood pumping, etc. Get that Ultrasound-either it will find out what's wrong or rule out things-either way the doctors will make progress in helping you. Do you have low blood pressure or low blood sugar? I hate to say it, but I've had several minor things be wrong at the same time, and it looked like a major problem. Your stomach might be acting up, with emotion and stress because of Congress, and having depression too. With dizziness, etc. I'd recommend that you take your blood pressure at home, some people get high blood pressure at a doctor's visit, so if you have low BP, then it goes high at the dr.s, they won't realize that you have low BP. Also R U keeping a diary? Maybe these things happen about the same time, or so many hours after eating.
Believe it or not, I was in a class where I was getting ill. A nineteen year-old classmate told me to try a snack about half of an hour into the class. He had already talked to the professor about this, and the prof realized that I was wilting in the 3 hour class, with my complexion going white. I began snacking on health bars-they gave me enough sugar to stay on track. I have IBS-and a doughnut or cookie causes major stomach problems-but the recommended health bar got me through. My son has the same low blood sugar problem added with low blood pressure. I'm so grateful to that kid-he wanted to be a police officer and it was his first college semester.
Hi JennyLynn! So nice to meet you!
I agree with meyati. Start a daily pain diary & make note of important things or possible contributing factors. I use a small booklet that stays in my purse.
If you're able to take your blood pressure readings at home or somewhere for free such as the local pharmacy, write these down too. When you go to see your doctor you'll have this vital information right at your fingertips.
There is a protocol to taking a person's blood pressure reading. Most of the times, it's not followed to the letter. Some key points are: not to talk and not to move during the reading. Also, if you've just walked a lot or drank a hot beverage, please wait 10 minutes before taking your reading. Keep both of your feet flat & still on the floor while the BP cuff is on.
I want to let you know that I've had several ultrasounds, CT scans & MRI's while I was feeling very painful & sore & swollen. I couldn't lie down flat without severe pain! (I still sleep on a reclining chair LOL) I'm so sorry, JennyLynn, to tell you that this is one time that you'll HAVE to bite the bullet & force yourself through the pain to keep your ultrasound appointment. Remember to take some pain medication beforehand if you're able.
All the best with your health, JennyLynn! from Wendy :)
