Concerns about the side effects I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis minus the rashs I am worried if I take this medication and for some reason have to stop maybe if I lose my insurance or whatever am I going to get the rash because I've read when people stop at the rash gets twice as bad, also there is that whole thing about cancer it makes you susceptible to cancer is it really worth it if I'm not suffering with a debilitating rash Just the arthritic part, which don't get me wrong is very painful and debilitating in itself but is it worth putting myself at risk for cancer because I would rather suffer with the pain of arthritis than have cancer
Stelara is brilliant for psoriasis and I know quite a few people using it without any side effects or problems to speak of and certainly not cancer. I have been on it nearly 5 years and the only side effects I have is when I self inject I am tired for a few days after. It's also worth noting however that all treatments can work differently for each person so don't necessarily assume that you will get exactly the results as someone else.
I would advise that you really get some information on psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis because psoriasis is not a rash but an over production of skin ,I can tell you that not many people I know have had very good results with Stelara for psoriatic arthritis and there are much better treatments than Stelara for the PsA however as I said before we are all different so you may be lucky and get decent results yourself.
Do some research and I really wonder if the arthritis you have is the psoriatic type. if you have no psoriasis at all.
