You really need to see a new doctor and see what they recommend that you should do.
The link below has reviews about what other people have experienced and some people have mentioned having the side effects you are having.
i took nucynta er 100mg 2x a day for about 8 months, had bad side effects like you . didnt go away after 8 mos. i got off it and switched pain clinics. next clinic put me on meth 5mg 4x a day. made me anxious too had to get off that and am now going to another clinic. they started me with lyrica today. i was ready to give up and try otc,s. but there is nothing. if i were you i would switch clinics and get off nucynta. you can look up nucynta online they have posts from people on there. looks like some people it works for. most go thru hell. good luck, pain clinics dont want to give real meds anymore, its like its up to them whether you suffer or not. its like torture. i havent found a clinic yet that will help me. hopefully you do.
Dear milosmom1205, Hello there. I agree with coldman. You need to find another Dr. if your not being heard over these symptoms. I've got to the point, where I'm not rude, but tell it like it is, or I leave with something that doesn't work. I took Nucynta too. I started out on 100mg twice a day for two weeks, then he upped it to 200mg twice daily for then on. I'll admit, it helped a lot with the pain, but it gave me this throbbing headaches everyday. I've heard that can happen to some people. It's so frusterating finding a new Pain Dr. I had a great one six yrs. ago, and then we moved to Georgia, and I went through three, before I found a good one. They would put me on something that only barely took the pain away. I was on the couch all day, with a 1 yr old at the time, and it was not good. Things are so much better now. Don't know where you live, and if there are any to choose from, but try another one, if that's what your body and heart is telling you to do. I drive an hour and a half to see mine. Many Blessings Ruthie
Oh I feel for you milosmom!!! I was in Nucynta and it was the worst experience of my life. I lost my balance, my heart would pound so fast I could feel it on my chest, I couldn't organize my thoughts and had trouble word finding and hallucinated, thought there was a rattle snake under my sink. Also I nodded out on it, it had a major sedating effect which is ironic given the dose of meds I'm on. It works on you're central nervous system and I don't tolerate any CNS meds. I haven't read through everyone's answers whom I'm sure gave you great advice. Anytime I see a Nucynta question I have to share my experience. My doctor took me off right away, especially when I told him I almost fell asleep at the wheel, only med that had that effect on me. So yes, I'd have to say its time to see a new doc if you aren't being heard. Best of luck to you!!!
