Hi, I just joined this site in order to ask about this medication. I have a number of health issues, such as Crohn's disease and Rheumatoid arthritis and I have chronic migraines. I've been prescribed the Norethindrone for excessive cycle bleeding. I'm aware that when I begin, it will take at least 3 months to see a change in the bleeding, but I'm reading the side effects and the comments on this board and I don't see anyone who HASN"T experienced some or a lot of bad negative side effects! Anyone out there who also has migraines before taking this medication and didn't see them worsen? Am wary of starting something that will make working and everyday living even harder than it already is... thanks so much..
Hi Seattle; I WOULD not worry so much about the side effects at this point the problem a lot of times is reading to much the brain is very powerful and when we read to much we see to much trust your doctor on this and look for anything unusual effects that you might get. The problem with reading the side effects etc is that many they list did not even happen with this medication but it happened to one that was similar so the FDA makes them put those side effects into. And when they have the trials it is very few people involved. Then it is released for use and lots of people start to take it and the percent is much different a lot of time much better but they are very slow about updating the package inserts etc. And people that post the ones that have side effects yu don't know what else they are taking, And people well post the negitive things but very few get on and say what a great medication it has helped me so much. So anyway as long as you do all the things you should you should not have any problems. Remember to take this pill as directed and take it about the same time every day And if you do have a side effect check with the doctor many side effects that people do get go away with continued use.But it is always best if it is a bad one for you to call the doctor.Hope this one works out for you. Have a great weekend.
