i know that it is similiar to neurontin but i dont know, is it supposed to start working immediatly or does it take awhile like the neurontin did?
Hi oxy, I actually had a lot more luck with the Neurotin, but if everybody was "cured" by the same thing, none of us had would be in any kind of pain, Lyrica helped me in what seemed like about three days. The problem was it also had me helping myself to a lot more trips to the fridge for sweets I had No business eating! I am having a lot more luck with the gabapentin, and I can actually say I feel so much better (when my hands don't hurt) Typing seems to triple my pain problems, which is why I am not around latelty, I would be happy to help you through any private messages... these days I am trying to limit my typing to experiences I have been through and can give a more precise answer. be happy to hear from you anytime! Try to give the Lyrica a chance, it just might help you through a lot of painful hours. Please let me know how you are getting along. Fall Queen
When I tried lyrica my md wanted me to give it at least one month to see if it worked--but I found it actually made me feel worse(NOT A GOOD THING!)I had no energy and I started to get headaches. And it turned out to be a "good thing" it didn't work since my co pay was $75 a month. I found neurontin to be my best bet. Hope you find some relief--I really understand how frusterating all the different types of pain can be-it is maddening--Kim
