I have just stared yasmin to regulate my periods as perscribed by the doctor. I read the leaflet of instructions inside the pack and it said i need to start the pill on the day i get my period and must start in the silver section of the pack which i now have done, is this correct? also will my period stop now because i didnt start on the white placebo pills? HELP so confused!!
No, you won't get another period. I'm so glad you read the instructions, you'd be surprised how many don't. You keep taking the active pills until you get to the inactive and then take them. Then some time during the week of inactive pills you will get your period. Now that you've started the pills, when you take them has nothing to do with your period. In other words if you get bleeding you just keep taking the pills. If you don't get your period during the inactive week, you start another pack when you should. Sometimes periods are very light or you may skip one altogether. This is because when you take the pill you don't get as much lining in your uterus to be shed during your period.
