First few days on Viibryd felt euphoric, now on my 1st day on 20mg and the nausea is unbearable. I eat a nice meal before taking it but no resolve. I'm chewing tums back to back but no relief. Also the euphoria is gone and I feel no positive results anymore, just dizziness, nausea, and a bit of aggravation. I've been on Prozac, Lamictal, Wellbutrin, Lexapro, Paxil, Effexor, Ability etc.. My diagnosis is Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety, and Adhd.. This journey simply feels like it's draining me.. I haven't been working because of all of the symptoms/side effects of these diagnosis. My kids are suffering because of my lack of income.. I'm truly tired* Sorry for the mouthful of info.. I just felt compelled to vent and be honest..
I had to make sure I ate a larger meal than what I normally ate for a while, or make sure there was bread or something in the meal to absorb the med. Sometimes I have to lay down but not as often anymore. The euphoria did wear off but eventually it balanced out enough and the viibryd makes it possible to have motivation when before I had none.
My doctor instructed me to take the Viibyrd while I was getting so after my second bite of food, I take the pill and then continue eating... I never experienced any side effects doing it this way.
Hope this helps!
Sometimes Viibryd interacts with antacids and they should not be taken within 2 hours of each other. I made the mistake of taking both close together and I have been sick all day! First thought I had flu.
Hope this helps.
Your post could be describing me, except I don't have kids. I was doing decently on 10mg of Viibryd and for the first couple of weeks on 20mg. Since then (2.5 months), I've had horrible acid reflux (may not be related) and nausea. I throw up almost every time I drive and I've never had motion sickness. I have found that eating a larger meal right before I take it helps some. I don't want to go off it either, so I'm trying to just deal, but it's getting ridiculous. But maybe try eating more before taking it. I tried taking it mid-meal, but that didn't work. But it might work for you.
