Ago and I'm already spotting as if I'm starting my period. I started the pill on day 1. Is it normal to be bleeding already?
Yes, it is just the change in hormone levels. I assume by Day 1 you meant the day your Mirena was removed? Generally it is advised that a woman start the oral contraceptives 7 days before removal if her cycles are irregular or if they are regular, the Mirena should be removed during the first seven days of the menstrual cycle to avoid a break in contraception. If your prescriber didnt follow this routine, you should use back up protection, like condoms, until you have taken seven consecutive days of birth control pills.
