I have been taking Zoloft 50mg for 9 days now. I have ups and downs with my depressing thoughts, I mostly have the bad thoughts at night. As I take the drug can I expect to start feeling better from here till the drug takes it's full effect in 6 to 8 weeks?
Hi, geokar! Some people do report that they start feeling the benefits in the first couple weeks but it's a very individual thing for each person.
Enjoy the up times you have and try to keep busy and don't dwell on it when you're down. If you face the next couple weeks with a positive attitude about your improvements, no matter how small, I'll bet you'll be
feeling great soon.
Best regards and good luck on your journey to good health! Wildcat
Yes geokar, As Wildcat said some feel the effects of the medication much sooner than 6 to 8 weeks but the good thing is your already almost through the worst part when some people have some bad effects So just keep taking it every day and about the same time each day works better for most to keep your level right. Sounds like it should work out for you keep it up. You will notice that you start to feel better Anywhere from another week and continue to get better right up to the 6 to 8 weeks Have a good weekend. And hope you continue to do as well as you are.
