... year..had to work my way up to it of course. And my hubby is concerned that because so many drugs pose permanent side effect, even if you get off them, that these might do something harmful and irreversible to me. Is this a reasonable fear? Could they cause brain damage, like make me suddenly dumb, or neurological damage, like involuntary muscle movement? I haven't noticed any issues yet, but then again it's only been less than a year. I feel they did get the balance right. I am more focused and can manage my stress and anxiety better than ever before now. If anyone can offer advice or reasonable concerns or has questions for me, that would be perfect. Thank you!
I doubt you will see any permanent side effects from either of these drugs. In fact, chronic stress and anxiety are way more harmful to your health in the long run. I have family members that have been on wellbutrin xl for over 10 years and they are still healthy. Both buspar and wellbutrin are well known, well tolerated meds which have been around for quite some time, so you have nothing to worry about. Of course, if you notice any bizarre muscle spasms or a decrease in cognitive abilities you should alert your doctor, but if you haven't you're good to go.
Yes Valflower looks like we all argree,Infact these 2 medications have been out for at least 20 years that i can remember and are some of the safest medications you can take very common. So i agree with both people here I can't recall one person in my 40 some years in the pharmacy that had long term effects,And as my friend said if you were not doing somthing about it the risk to your health would be much worse than what could happen taking them and the Generic makes no difference over the brand name... Please don';t worry your doing just fine Chuck1957 medically retired pharmacy Techniecian Cpht Oregon.
