I'd like to avoid as much side effects as possible, so any tips like drink water, eat certain things, don't take with in so many hours before bed would be greatly appreciated.
Congratulations and welcome, I take Contrave as soon as i get up and I haven't noticed any unmanageable side affects. I am on week 3 and the only thing I've noticed is that sometimes I feel like I'm in a fog. I am very much able to still function however I notice a difference in my state of being. I would suggest that you consider any side effects you've experienced with other medications and plan accordingly; for instance if you've taken a medication previously and got diarrhea I wouldn't plan a road trip if you know what i mean. I hope this helps, good luck with your journey...
I would try taking it at night the first time. Most people are sleepy on the medication. (Although some get a lot of energy). Drinking water is super important! I eat high protein meals. I take the medication with protein. I had non-drowsy dramamine or bonine for dizziness, spaciness. Most of the side effects go away within the first 4 weeks and most of them sooner than that. Hope this helps!
