How long do these side effects last???
Usually the side effects lessen or go away after 2 weeks. It can take up to 4 weeks, depends on dosage and your body chemistry.
Wellbutrin is also used off label to quit smoking.
If you continue to have intolerable side effects then you may want to talk to your doctor about your options.
Hope it gets better :)
Hi Delaney: I actually had good results while taking Chantix, (or so I thought). I quit smoking and I felt good. No anxiety, no depression, no bad side effects from tobacco withdrawal, while I was taking it. But, a month or so later, it threw me into an anxiety-laden depression. It was ugly. I felt terrible. I recommend Wellbutrin instead to help someone to quit smoking. Chantix threw me into a tailspin, and it took months to feel normal again. Be very wary of it. Listen to your body if you are having these side effects that you mention here. It could get worse.
