... I need some encouragement for this. Anyone? (Thanks in advance!)
Hi MsJat; is this the first time your taking this or any i am going to guess that yes you are just starting out,Celexa or Generic are the same just different companys But when some people first start it can make you feel a little worse be it mentally or just the medication The hard part of all these medications is it can take 4 to 6 weeks before you get a blood level where you well be feeling the benifits of the medications,But on the bright side many people do start feeling better even sooner.Lots of us think as soon as we start the medication we are going to feel better but unfortunatlly it takes the build up time to get the whole benifit of the medication this is a very good one to start to help the panic anxiety, stress, etc but it is possible that it can increase a bit before it starts to work anytime you put a different medicine in you it takes time..I wish i could help you more if you are to uncomfortable call the doctor and let them know and maybe they can give you something temp.to take while this one is kicking in..best of luck friend Chuck Wise Sr. Retired Pharmacy technician Cpht from Oregon..i know its hard but patients is what it takes. cw.
I had similar side effects with Effexor and my doc said give it a couple of days and I did. I ended up in the hospital which a severe reactions. I passed out hit my head on the toilet my son found me called 911 and had my stomach pumped. so now I listen to my body. If I feel like its flu like symptoms and I stand up and pass out I stop taking it immediately and I force my self to vomit... Learn to listen to your body. They are way to many meds out there that will not make you ill or out of sorts or scared to take it again!!! Be safe.
