I understand it can take a while and I don't feel any worse than I did without them just wondered with people's experiences was it a gradual build up or did you just wake up one morning and know it had kicked in and what it felt like ? I just want reassurance really cos today is a bad day... oh and I take for all of the above depression, anxiety social anxiety etc
Hi, Ethan! Although some people report feeling improvement in about 2 weeks for most it takes about 3 ~ 4 weeks. It will also take 6 ~ 8 weeks to achieve full therapeutic blood levels.
The best news is it will have been worth the wait and you may be one of the lucky ones who feel better fast.
Good luck and best wishes to you. Wildcat
Ethan; It works different on all of us, The good news your through the worst part of starting the Paxil sometimes the first 2 weeks you can have you symptoms get worse the first couple weeks but at the point your on you should gradually start to feel a difference little by little in the next few weeks and by the time your at the 6 to 8 weeks you should really know the difference. And remember it is very important not to miss any doses and try and take it about the same time each day. To keep that blood level right. Hope you are feeling better soon.
