... of my cycle and I haven't gotten my period since that first day. Is that normal?
So you started your period then once you put the ring in, bleeding stopped? It can cause irregular bleeding when you first start using it. You may have your period stop like this, you may have breakthrough bleeding (or bleeding mid cycle) or some women experience heavy bleeding. This usually regulates out in a few months. As long as you use it correctly and use back up as appropriate (the first seven days, it is advised to use back up condoms) you will be protected after the initial waiting period. Dont alter the way you use it-keep to the schedule no matter what your body is doing.
