Oncologists says it isn't due to the Gleevec or Leukemia, PCP says it is . .. Gleevec is working to reduce my WBC & platelets but I am frustrated & wondering if these symptoms will stop . . .
Unfortunately the most common side effects of Gleevec are:
Fatigue -- up to 74.9%; Muscle cramps -- up to 62%; Muscle and bone pain -- up to 49%; Joint pain -- up to 40% of the people who take Gleevec.
It is recommended to speak to your doc who prescribed the med, perhaps he/she can prescribe some med to treat the side effects so that you are more comfortable.
Take care, my best wishes!
