... and maybe a little depressed? Can I expect the somnolence to ease up eventually? How long does it take to find out if it's going to work for me? I appreciate any insight. Thanks!
I’ve been on Ingrezza for a few months now. I started at 40 and went up to 80 mgs. At first I had a tired feeling, with a ‘cottony’ stuffed head and difficulty concentrating. It took about 6 weeks for that to pass. I don’t seem to have those problems anymore.
It has worked some. I still get some facial grimaces. Especially when I’m anxious. But it is better than it was.
The only real problem I’m having now is I find myself grinding my teeth or constantly moving-Drumming my fingers, tensing and relaxing muscles, biting the inside of my lips. I don’t know whether to attribute this to the Ingrezza, increased anxiety or the Tardive Dyskinesia. I’ll speak to my doctor this month, but I’m thinking of going off the medication. I’d be interested in hearing your experiences if you continue.
Yes, 40 mg made me very tired. I was not able to take 80mg because of the akathisia. Good Luck to you.
I was on the Ingrezza for 4-5 months and it did not provide any significant relief for me. It appears to work on an individual basis. I had no side effects that I can recall, I am 55.
