arrhythmia. Cardioversion corrected the irregular heartbeat (not ventricular a-fib) but I've had a hard time taking this drug intended to keep the heartbeat normal. There has been increased blood pressure readings, much fatigue, shortness of breath, some dizziness and headaches after modest exercise, constipation, etc. In principle, I just as soon take my chances with an ablation procedure than to continue taking this drug or others like it. It seems to be doing the job but it feels like my heart is being compromised with the slightest uptick in stress. I'd like to hear from members on their experience taking flecainide. I am 70 years old, with no previous history of heart disease.
