Effexor is usually a faster acting antidepressant. It works well for many. You doctor should make you aware of the withdrawal you may have if you ever come off of it. You should take it everyday at the same time and try not to miss a dose.
Hope you feel better soon :)
Celexa being an SSRI and Effexor and SSNRI and with Effexor you're now taking a serotonin as well as a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. If you could offer some information on other medications you're taking that would be very helpful also are you seeing a psychiatrist family medicine doctor or both . I suffered from chronic anxiety for many many years as well as PTSD. Just remember take a breath and I look forward to further contact with you .
I was experiencing extreme anxiety and couldn't seem to get any relief until my psychiatrist started me on BuSpar. This stuff works excellent. You may want to check into it
Jethro I know that this was posted sometime ago but I had the same issues with being so tired and only moving from the bed to the couch I was a zombie all while trying to be a mother to a toddler I asked my Dr if I could switch from taking it at night instead of in the am .. I did switch it and it made a huge difference.. Hope this helps and best of luck
