... down 0.2. My appetite has gone way down, I stopped drinking Diet Pepsi, drinking water and I am walking, so I am disappointed. Has anyone had this? Have I not given this enough time? Scale Down expects me to lose 4 pounds the first two weeks. That will not happen.
Please give it time. Weight loss is an up and down journey. A wide variety of things can effect what you weigh on any given day. Did you have a lot of salty things? Did you drink enough water? Over time your weight will likely go down. I seen many items that indicate you should give it 6 weeks and then decide if you want to do something different. My weight jumps around. I really am just looking for a downward trend.
Remember this is not a miracle drug. It works by helping you. But that only works if you already have a plan. Be comfortable that the plan you have is functional, and remember those things that caused you to faulter in the past. They will still be there, but hopefully with Contrave, and knowing that they are there to trip you up, you will be able to move past them this time.
Now is the time to review your diet and calorie plans to see what you may wish to modify. Use an app like My Fitness Pal, to calculate and then track the number of calories you should be and are eating in a day. Not eating enough calories is just as bad as eating too many when it comes to diets.
Positive attitude - too may people go in saying "I hope it works this time." Well that is almost always a recipe for failure. Be certain that this time WILL be different. Be confident in the tools and plan you have in place and work to make it a success. And stay the course - it took a long time to put on weight, it is going to be work to take it off, don't get discouraged and don't look for excuses to quit.
Water - Water is your friends, it will help with side effects, it will help with the dry mouth, it will help with hunger... when you think you had enough water... have some more.
Protein - many people have nausea early on, and consuming protein around the time you take it helps with that. I found personally, that if I waited until I was nauseous to eat, that it was too late and that eating would not help it, so eating may be important so keep that in mind. Also Protein is what helps you get from meal to meal without "starving" be sure you have enough protein in each meal to help you get to the next and you will find you 'obsess" over food less.
Be sure you will fail, and you will... see yourself succeeding, and you will. Good Luck with your journey!
