I had experienced a lot of fatigue day 1. I'm on day 4 and feel great! I'd live to hear from people who have lost. I'm just looking for support and motivation. How much have you lost? ☺
I've been on Contrave since May 7th and I've lost 24 lbs. I was fired from my job memorial day, so that derailed me a bit, but I'm back on track and joined a gym. This was the first week working out and I'm down another 4lbs!
Just remember, you didn't gain it overnight, so it's not gonna come off overnight. You'll notice a big difference in your appetite the 2nd week.
I have no side effects other than being a bit shaky a few hours after my morning dose.
Keep us posted!!
Great to hear that you are doing so well! I'm "celebrating" my one-month anniversary of being on Contrave today (7/10). I have to say it's made a real change. I'm only down 5lbs, but it's better than nothing. Slowly but surely I will get the weight off. I can't do a lot of exercise right now due to an injury but am walking every day (thanks to my energetic dog). I'm sure once I recover the weight will come off my quickly. As far as side effects that I've experienced, I started out with major nausea and headaches. Then it was as if a truck ran me over. I felt horrible so my doctor suggested I cut back for a week and see if I felt better. I'm honestly not sure if I had a virus running through my system or if it really was the Contrave, but I'm on the full dose now and only have slight nausea, which passes within an hour; and a mild headache. Oh and constipation (ugh!). I can tolerate the nausea and headache. I have to actually.
Because I've tried so many other things to drop weight with no result. So this is it... this is my chance to succeed. I'm around if you feel the urge to chat. Good luck to you! :)
I feel like this pill is an answer to my prayers. It has removed my lifelong obsession with food. Even when I was a baby, I would cry if someone didn't feed me fast enough. Now, I can live normally. I don't wake up in the middle of the night hungry. I don't think about dinner at lunch. I can say no to junk I don't want. I have lost 20 pounds and the effects are huge. I can walk again without pain. People are starting to notice. My face looks great. I still have 50-70 pounds to go. However, I have hope that I can "be normal" with this pill. My only fear is that it will stop working.
I love how I can eat, but once I eat, I feel satiated. I know what satisfaction is now. I get fullness. Before I never really could feel full. My family would say, "You can't possibly be hungry", but I was. I would eat fast food and be hungry after. It was never enough, and now it is.
I don't even need to weight myself to know that I might be even down more than 20. My pants are falling off me. I bought a pair of shorts and they fell off my hips. I want to move again. I am able to walk again. At first I did have to get through the foot, knee, leg pain. Now I am walking a lot faster and with some energy.
I realize that I was in total denial about how much I ate. I used to eat thousands of calories at night. Now, I buy packs of nuts and chips and never open them. I do get hungry for cheese and will maybe have some pretzels or something. When I get hungry, I do eat, but then I stop or even forget what I was "going to" eat.
Hope this helps! If I can do this, anyone can.
