I have irregular cycle. I haven't had my period for 2 months now and this irregularity really happens. But I want to start taking Nordette pills regularly. When should I start?
You can start any time since you are already irregular. The reason to start at period time is really more to keep you somewhat regular in your cycle and to prevent ovulation by starting at the beginning of your cycle. Since you are already irregular, it wont matter much BUT if you are going to rely on it for contraception, be sure to use back up protection, like condoms, for the whole first pack. That way you can be sure that any ovulation was suppressed before having sex relying only on the Nordette as your only contraceptive. Hopefully, within a few months your cycle will regulate out and your periods will come when you expect them. It may take 4-6 months for this to happen.
