... How long and frequent do periods last?
I'm about to start on Sprintec birth control. This is my first time being on BC. What can I expect?

Everyone is different even if they take the exact meds. Your body may take 3 months to regulate or not. You may have breakthrough bleeding during your cycle also. Read the phamplet or google it. Most birth control pills seem to have the same info usually. Your period may be shorter & less painful even on your first pack. Just make sure to take at the same time daily & don't skip any pills. You may or may not have nausea & headaches for awhile this can be common. Take with food if you get nausea. If side effects are terrible after the first month just check with your doc. Also if you have depression it's possible it can make it worse. Has happened to me many times, on my 3rd try now. The last one was good for 8 months then I realized my depression got worse. And antidepressants don't work for me.
