I take mononessa birth control. I am not sexually active at this time, though, but want to stay on it just in case I do get involved with someone. My question is: Is there a way I can start my period this month one to two days earlier? I am scheduled to start my period May 17. I want to start it earlier because I have a Pap Smear appointment a few days after I start and I want it to be done when I go in for my appointment. I will start on May 17 or 18th. My doctor is very busy and I need my birth control refilled as well.
If you have next months pills the easiest thing would be to skip the placebo's and just start the next pack, skipping your period this month. I suppose since you're not using it for protection right now you could start the placebos a few days early, and it may allow your period to come early. There is no guarantee. I would certainly be sure to use a condom just in case if your situation changes.
The best way to not be bleeding is to skip the placebos this month and go ahead and skip this months period. It wont hurt you to do this a couple times a year for special events. If you start your placebos early, there is no guarantee that you will be done bleeding for your appt.
