When I start my paxil 10mg what will I feel after it is in my system. When my Dr. gave me the RX I was a little worries about becoming a zombie like person. How will this make me feel ? I don't like the feeling that a vicidin or tramadol gives you. I just want my stress and anxiety to go away. What can you compare the feeling it gives you to ?
Hi, that's a hard one because everyone may feel different when they start new meds. I think that no one can andswer this one for you... u will probably have to just wait a few weeks, then see how you feel... if you have too many bad side effects, talk to your doc about it... see if the symtoms out weighs the benefits. I know how you feel... I don't like trying new meds because of all the bad side effects that may occure. good luck, hope you don't feel like zombie... I know that feeling all too well.
Hi, amgmatt! Although side effects do occur with the antidepressants, they are much less common than with the antipsychotics and, of course, the narcotics or pain killers. The other thing to remember is that only about 0.05 ~ 5% of users have any side effects with most of these medications and even these often resolve after a couple weeks of treatment.
I guess I'm one of the lucky ones because I've never had anything more than minor side effects from any meds I've been on.
The following is a link to Paxil side effects so you're better prepared to know what to watch for. If anything occurs that's bothersome tell your doctor right away.
Good luck and best wishes, WCV
