I'm curious why you're changing form Bystolic to Metoprolol. I'm currently on Bystolic as part of my Afib drug therapy (along with Multaq). Previously I was on Metoprolol, but found that combined with the Multaw, it was lowering my heart rate too much and making me lightheaded. Bystolic is suppose to have the same therapeutic effects as Metoprolol, without the lower heart rate. (Unfortunately it's much more expensive.)
BTW: I was not given any special instructions regarding eating before or after taking Metropolol. Thanks.
