Does spotting only occur before or after you're supposed to get your period? I am sexually active and I am on the pill. And I was supposed to get my period on Sunday but I got it today, Thursday and it's really light. Some blood comes out once it seems like every 2 hours or longer. Should I be worried?
Is this the first time you have ever been this late getting your period? I don't think it is spotting because although you're blood is light, it is still coming out at a sort of regular rate. Are you used to having a heavy flow when you get your period, or have you ever experienced a light flow in the past? At least you are having a flow, although it is uneven. I think you have done enough worrying for a while. I, again, must stress that I am not an M.D.. Hopefully, kaismama will respond to my questions if you answer them, as not only does she have more experience, but she is also a woman. The reason I feel that I am a bit qualified to respond, is because a lot of these questions have come up in my practice, and I have a lot of experience with women and pregnancy fears. I could elaborate, but YOU are the subject, not me. What I know about spotting is that generally it doesn't occur on a regular basis, and you stated that your bleeding is coming every two hours.
I hope that this alleviates your concerns and worries.
