I'm on Seroquel twice daily (100mg in morning 450mg at night) and also 25mg x 2 P.R.N.
Initially I was prescribed XR as well but have since been taken off, as opposed to just throwing the tablets away, can I split them and use them split instead of the 25mg I take P.R.N?
AFAIK the coating is what helps the slow release? unless I'm mistaken.
Hi, miix! The problem would be that you can't assure the dose you'd be taking because the active ingredient is not evenly distributed throughout the caplet. It probably wouldn't be a huge difference but just so you know.

Miixlol; Really there is a big difference between Xr and the IR and it is not advised that you split a xr pill because you don't know how much of it your really getting. But like Wildcat said you have been on it so you know how it works for you but it would still be better to get the right strength to help balance you out.
