Spironolactone - While taking spirinolactone for acne do I need to eat a low potassium diet?

For most young healthy women dietary changes are not necessary nor is monitoring. For those women with blood pressure issues, concurrent use of other medications, those with kidney problems or any other medical issues, it would be important to speak to the prescribing physician about these issues.
High potassium levels are unusual in young healthy women taking spironolactone and following a normal diet.
Please review your diet with your physician if you have concerns.
