It depends if you're talking about improvement in acne, reduction in hair on the face or hair growth on the scalp. These are the three main uses of spironolactone.
Changes in acne can be seen in 2-3 months whereas hair related changes take 8-12 months. Spironolactone does not help everyone and must never be used by women who may become pregnant. Side effects need to be carefully reviewed with one's physician before starting to review the risks and benefits.
