I've always been active, for many years I've practised martial arts. Mainly karate. Now I find it difficult to walk. I take Targinact,Gaberpentin for pain and spasms/pins and needles. My back always feels stiff and the region where my Spinal Fusion surgery is,swells up like a mini Bridge.
I'm guessing that you work with a specialist - a neurosurgeon, a neurologist, or someone similar at times. I've found my neurologist to be more helpful in determining root causes of pain, symptoms, etc. and making recommendations, if possible, re. what I need to do to gain some relief (assuming s/he thinks any options exist). At the very least, it sounds like your spinal fusion area needs to be checked out for possible infection or something new that has occurred since surgery and is creating the swelling. Good luck.
