Besides antibiotics are there any medications that can lower hematocrit or hemoglobin levels in a 60YO M?
Yes there are some medications that can do that. The other thing that has to be considered by those of us over 60 is that as we age we can develop anemia. I always had a high hgb and hct but now I'm anemic if I don't take iron every day.
