The brown pills are just sugar pills, they don't bring on a period. Take those white ones until they are gone or you'll not be protected. You can start the next pack after the active pills, rather then have that week without active pills. This should delay your period.
If what you are saying is that you are supposed to take the white pill but decided to continue on with the brown pills then what is going to happen is that you will not have a period. Your body is going to continue on without a period as long as you continue to take the brown pills. You will not get pregnant as long as you continue to take your pills. (of course, there is always a chance one will become pregnant, even on birth control) what is the name of the birth control pills you are on?
There are so many kinds of birth control that saying "the brown ones" or "the white ones" means little to us. You have active pills and inactive "reminder" pills which are just "sugar pills" or placebos. They have no action whatsoever. Their only function is to remind you to take a pill each day. The inactive pills will be the ones you have the least of (usually only one weeks worth but some formulas have less than that). The active pills are the ones you have the most of. If you want to try to skip a period, instead of starting the inactive pills, stay on the active ones. When it comes time for your inactive pills, go right to the active pills on a new pack. This may stop your period. Some women spot or bleed anyway but many woman can skip this way. This is okay to do no more than 3-4 times a year.
