I'm a 42 yo female and I was recently diagnosed with rosacea. I was put on doxycycline and MetroGel for a month; my condition got worse. I went back to my dermatologist and she diagnosed it as perioral dermatitis (PD). She prescribed me Soolantra and I just started using it (I'm about 4 days in) - wow, talk about a flare up. My skin is worse than it's ever been. It feels like I'm having a very bad reaction to something - itching, some burning/tingling and a lot of small red bumps and my cheeks and chin. Is this normal? Is that the Soolantra doing its thing and starting to get all of the bacteria out? Or, should I go back to my doctor and ask to switch to something else?
