Sir... I am bipolar and also have add. It seems that Zoloft and Strattera would work together well as individually, both drugs treat separate issues. I personally have been on Cymbalta and Adderall at the same time and the combination worked well together. Has your psychiatrist ordered both meds for your son, or are you on an information excursion? My psychiatrist brother, when asked, told me that as far as he knew, there were no contraindications for those Mrs treating your sons' diagnosis. I hope this small bit of information was helpful.
I have but had really adverse side effects, my whole personality changed and I was having some horrible abdominal pain. They chased this pain as a possible gall bladder or liver problem, scans and all showed nothing, then I said what about the meds, my doctor said that maybe I was on something. Came off those meds and pain went completely away and personality went back. Now, with that said, how your body reacts to the different chemicals can and will be different from me. I am not a doctor or do I want to be, unfortunately you have to experiment with different drugs to achieve the needed results. I wish it was different, I wish there was a cookie cutter recipe for this but there isn't.
I wish you good health. Sam
