My son has ADD/ADHD, MDD, GAD, acid reflux-takes Nexium and Carafate, sinus problems-takes singulair, and has troubles going to sleep some nights. I am scared of interactions.
My son was given Vyvanse, Doxepin and Fluoxetine today from his dr, should I be concerned?

The fluoxetine and the doxepin are both prescribed for the MDD; however, they treat similar symptoms, mainly suicidal thinking. The Vyvanse is for the ADD/ADHD. You might question whether or not he needs both medications. The Vyvanse works really well for ADD/ADHD. It is designed to make him feel more tired as the evening progresses so that he will sleep better each night. What you need to do is make sure you watch his caffiene intake as it tends to make these meds cause irritability and agitation in most patients (caffiene isn't just in sodas and coffee so you gotta watch his chocolate intake). Hope this helps.
