He's on Effexor which helps some but I was thinking Xanax might help better for the anxiety. What do you think or what do you think would be best for him.
My son says he feels like he's losing his mind, like he has to much on him. Extreme anxiety?

I don't know how old your son is but deciding to resort to a potent and addictive benzo like Alprazolam as the first port of call is reckless in my opinion. If I were to pursue that route for an adolescent something milder like Diazepam would be more appropriate and far safer in my opinion. How long has he been on Effexor for?
