What do you mean what can happen? Actually the epiphyseal cartilage, the growth area of bone, doesn't stop growing until about 25 in males. Is it really bothering him that he's only 5ft 6? That's the perfect height for me, I'm 4ft 11. lol When I was in school I was the shortest girl and I walked with the shortest boy at graduation, he was only about 2 inches taller then me. I saw him after I graduated from nursing school, he'd grown and was about 5 ft 10. I didn't know him.
