I am wondering if one of the nurses disposed of these drugs. It seems very strange and I do not recognize these capsules. Should I investigate this further. They were left wide open and anyone could have spotted them.
Someone threw 2 dan 5440 capsules out in my lawn. Visiting nurses have seen my husb this wk?

Pill imprint DAN 5440 DAN 5440 has been identified as Doxycycline hyclate 100 mg.
Doxycycline is used in the treatment of urinary tract infection; chlamydia infection; acne; rosacea; bacterial infection (and more), and belongs to the drug classes miscellaneous antimalarials, tetracyclines. There is positive evidence of human fetal risk during pregnancy.
Doxycycline 100 mg is not subject to the Controlled Substances Act.
I would no bother to investigate further, would destroy the capsules, take care.
