... will split one of my 10/660 hydro's and add a 400 tylenol and see if that works for at least a extra days worth till something can be done. Don't even want my doc to know am afraid he will think this is a ploy to get more. just wanted to throw this out to you to see if you think this is safe or even if this will help. thanks... Gram
Splitting the hydrocodone is ok, but I want to explain the need to be careful about the the additional tylenol. The hydrocodone has tylenol in it (660mg per pill). You should only take 1000mgs at a time and no more than 4000mgs in 24 hours of tylenol. If you are splitting the hydro and adding the additional tylenol as long as you stay below 1000mgs you are ok.
You mention 400mg tylenol. I think Tylenol only comes in 250mg increments. Are you possibly thinking of adding ibuprofen which comes in 200mg increments rather than tylenol? Just wondering.
Your other option if you want to go to the trouble is to call the non-emergency number of your local police and see if they will take a report. You can then give this to your doctor and get a new script. If the police will not take a report just get the name of the officer and give this to your doctor so he can call if he wants too. Either way, you should get your new script and not suffer. I would ask for the new script regardless of how you want to handle the situation.
Do you have any idea on who could of stolen the pills? This is a serious issue and I agree about calling the police and filing a report. I am sure after doing all of this your doctor would refill the perscription. Some how you need to figure out who might of taken the pills and search out the people or person who could possible be responsible. Can you remember when you last took the medication and how much time went by until you noticed? Then maybe you could figure out a possible scenerio. Also check with the pharmacist about the Tylonel. I also know the dosage of Tylenol in pain medication are going to change to 325MG. only since to manyy people take to much of the Tylenol. I have never heard of 660Mg either. Are you sure that was the correct dose? Please let us know the outcome of the missing narcotic.
Sorry that I just got your post, but my pain doctors have always said that if your meds are stolen, to make a police report. Then, they will replace them. If you have a legitimate police report, (though I'm not sure about 10days later), there shouldn't be a problem. WATCH THE OTC's. Just because they are not scripts, doesn't mean that they can't damage you!!
I feel bad for you that someone stole yourmeds. i have had this happen to me. you are right as the contract i signed says protect it like you would a gun and keep your scripts under protection at all times. actually worded that way. unbelievable i know but their crazy these days with meds. i would get what proff you can and be straight with the Dr. this may be the wrong advise because they don't believe anything, they assume you abuse. on any case it also has alot to do with how long you've been seeing this dr. do you have a good relationship with him/her? if they trust you it shouldn't be a issue if they don't and are as strick as mine was then your screwed. its a tough call to make. keep us updated add I'd like to know how this turns out for you. i didn't have great luck but their were other factors involved as other patents were playing games. even tho i went their for yrs with never a issue it didn't work out well.
