she took the whole pill, not realizing it was not a normal pain pill. will she be okay?
Hi maxie2, First of all, please tell your friend that she should NEVER take any drugs unless she knows what they are. That can be extremely dangerous. Gabapentin is Neurontin, which is designed to treat nerve pain and act as an anticonvulsant/anti-epileptic, along with some other uses. She took a fairly strong dose (for someone who doesn't regularly take this drug), but I don't believe she will have any serious or lasting effects. Just tell her to be more careful about what she takes in the future. Hang in there, keemo7
